Weirdly, right about the time I was thinking we ought to get our cocktail party organized, J planned a birthday get-together for one of our dear friends who is heading out of Seattle for a while -- and then this prompt came!
So I guess I am hosting a birthday party in two days -- yipes! As J eloquently put it, this was "to light a fire under my butt," but I'm freaking out anyway about pulling the apartment decor together enough in that time. Oh well -- it just means we'll have to plan a bigger party for unveiling in September!
Today is our official lease start day, and I've been moving boxes around my bedroom for what feels like forever now. Tomorrow is the big move!!
