Succulence

A few more photos from the Portland extravaganza.

Just around the corner from the magic elixir juice truck (Sip), there's a very sweet little herb and plant shop: Thicket. Though the Alberta area itself is lovely, this is a little oasis tucked away from the neighborhood buzz. It was sort of like wandering into a secret garden.

Bathed in morning sunlight,  abound with sweet baby succulents and mason jars... It made me want to don a twee sundress and prance about in terrestrial merriment.

From a palette perspective, I'm captivated by these pops of chartreuse against the earthier shades of cognac, chocolate, and pebble gray. Since those base tones are already making an appearance in my fall wardrobe, I feel justified in my inclination toward chartreuse as a seasonal accent shade. I can't wait to find some yarn in this color and get knitting!
